Which chemicals and which companies are affected by REACH?

All chemicals or chemical products imported or produced in quantities of > 1 ton per year are affected by the new REACH program. Each manufacturer or importer of these chemicals is advised to provide data according to the REACH requirements. If the intended use of a substance is not covered by the Chemical Safety Report provided by the manufacturer / producer, also downstream-users are obliged to prepare a Chemical Safety Report.
