Ecotoxicological effects of plant protection products on soil organisms are tested following the recent guidelines. GAB is experienced in conducting laboratory , extended laboratory studies and field studies with soil organisms like earthworms, several soil inhabiting arthropod species including micro-arthropods (collembolan and mites). Semi-field and field tests (litterbag, earthworm field trials and micro-arthropod trials) can be performed throughout Europe (e. g. Germany, Spain, France and Italy).
